Farwell- In active Air Quality Alert for Western Clinton County has been extended due to the smoke invasion from over 180 wildfires in Ontario and another 15 in Minnesota. The alert will now run until 12:00am on Saturday morning.
All residents are urged to stay indoors, especially those with breathing conditions.
The 2026 smoke is much worse than that of the 2023 Canadian wildfire outbreaks.
The current alert could possibly be extended throughout the weekend with no suppression in sight.
