The Bucktail Girls Booster Club is inviting the community to take part in its annual Duck Derby fundraiser on Saturday, September 5, at the Flaming Foliage Lot.
Only 250 ducks will be sold, giving participants a chance to win cash prizes while supporting Bucktail athletics. Tickets can be purchased from Bucktail Girls Booster Club members, Tony’s Hardware, and Pat Reeder’s Tavern.
The event begins at 8:00 a.m., with chicken dinners, baked goods, a 50/50 drawing, and any remaining ducks available for purchase until sold out. Hap & Henry Drink Co. will also be on site selling beverages.
The Duck Derby will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Prizes include:
- 1st Duck to Cross: $300
- 2nd Duck to Cross: $200
- 3rd Duck to Cross: $100
- Last Place Duck: Bucktail T-shirt
Community members are encouraged to purchase their ducks early, as only 250 tickets will be available. The fundraiser helps support Bucktail Girls Booster Club activities and is expected to be another fun family event during the Labor Day weekend.
