Lady Bucks Fall To Wellsboro In Season Opener

Farwell- The Bucktail Lady Bucks opened their tennis season on Tuesday night, falling to Wellsboro by a 5-0 final.

Wellsboro swept all three singles matches and both doubles matches to hand Bucktail its first loss of the season. The Lady Bucks now sit at 0-1.

In singles action, Amanda Goncalves defeated Kelsie Wagner 6-1, 6-0. Piper Anderogg topped Carrie Ditty 6-1, 6-2, while Serenity Mosher defeated Riley Salizzoni 6-4, 6-1.

Wellsboro also claimed both doubles matches. Angie Cory and Kya Lawton defeated Olivia Henderson and McKenna Phillips 6-4, 6-2. Lena Rothermel and Selah Hoprich picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Emma Gentzyel and Katilin Paloskey.

Bucktail will look to bounce back quickly, as the Lady Bucks travel to Towanda on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
