Muncy- Bucktail’s junior high softball team continued their fast start at Muncy Thursday afternoon. The Lady Bucks’ pitching was on target against the Lady Indians with Blake Houser and Kiplee Friese throwing a combined no-hitter in a 3-inning road victory, 13-1.

The Houser and Friese combination wiffed four batters and allowed zero earned runs on the day. Houser went two innings, with Friese finishing out the final inning.

Bucktail led 1-0 after one inning and built a 2-0 lead before Muncy managed to score in their half of second inning. Bucktail then exploded for 11 runs in the top of the third inning to clearly put the game out of reach.

Bucktail collected just five base hits, but took advantage of 11 walks. Friese, Andrea Burrows and Adi Getz all collected doubles. Aady Marr and Audrina Tarantella added singles for the 2-0 Lady Bucks.

Bucktail will next be in action on Friday afternoon when they host Millville.
