Girls’ booster club Powder Puff Game set for Friday

Farwell- Yes, there will be football on Flaming Foliage Friday in Farwell. The Bucktail Girls’ Booster Club will be sponsoring the 2026 Bucktail Powder Puff football game on Friday with kickoff set for 7pm.

The Girls’ Booster Club will have a bunch of family fun activities set up, including a halftime field goal kick contest. There will also be a chicken dinner from 5:30 to 7pm and 50/50 tickets also available. All proceeds benefit the Bucktail Girls’ Booster Club.

The game itself is always in good fun, but don’t tell these girls that. Last year’s contest was as intense as any gridiron battle under the lights of Friday night.

Coach Katie Ditty will lead her turquoise clad Lady Legends into the contest. Last year’s reigning MVP Kelsie Wagner leads a squad comprised of Carrie Ditty, Emma Gentzyel, Olivia Henderson, McKenna Phillips, Adi Getz, Molly Churchill, Gianna Poleto, Tierannie Poleto and Blake Houser.

The other MVP from last year’s battle, Kendall Wagner has since graduated and has taken a role in coaching the Legends’ opposition in the Pink Panthers. She will be joined by returning powder puff coach Evan Ransom.

The Pink Panthers squad is made up of Riley Salizzoni, Rebekah Conway, Kaitlin Paloskey, Gemma Brauns, Aady Marr, Ryleigh Dunham, Madison “Hammer” Dent, Ariana Robinson, Ava Patton, Sarah Mansfield and Andrea Burrows.

Robinson, who plays for the Bucktail junior high football program could throw a unique element into the Panthers’ strategy and possibly the game plan of Coach Ditty and her Lady Legends.

Another fan favorite is back, too. The Spirit Squad, made up of male students from the Bucktail football team will make sure that the Bucks don’t get an off night on a Friday night in Farwell.

Admission to the game is $3 for adults and $2 for kids.

Railroad City Sports has the honor to broadcast this unique event, thanks in part to an invitation from the Bucktail Girls’ Booster Club. We plan on going on the air around 6:30 and we have player interviews and we’ll be talking to some Girls’ Booster Club reps to learn more about the game and the club itself.
