Well, the smoke has cleared from that wild Powder Puff game at Bucktail. Coach KT won her debut battle and at 1-0 has currently the highest winning percentage at Bucktail. Coach Bruce needs to steal her playbook. The teams combined for 855 yards in a wild 46-26 Lady Legends victory.
Meanwhile, Coach Bruce is gearing up for a homecoming contest with Coudersport and Coach Kenn’s “Little Warriors” will be trekking to Farwell to take on the junior high Bucks on Thursday at 5pm.
Coach Kenn’s big Warriors are set for a home meeting against Juniata Valley, so let’s get to it.
Montoursville at Central Mountain
CM’s brutal schedule continues on Friday night at home. MONTOURSVILLE 38-14
Juniata Valley at West Branch
I chose WB to upset Southern Huntingdon last week, but Coach Kenn knows by now I never go against “bee-like” mascots. JUNIATA VALLEY 24-18
Curwensville at Claysburg-Kimmel
Two winless teams set to battle. Bulldogs have the edge. CLAYSBURG-KIMMEL 32-12
Port Allegany at Ridgeway
Big District 9 clash. The Gators trying to end a surprising slide, but the Elkers might look past them and ahead to their long trip to Bucktail next week. PORT ALLEGANY 44-23
Keystone at Redbank Valley
Keystone looking to lockdown a regional title. KEYSTONE 28-21
Jersey Shore at Hollidaysburg
Like Port Allegany, Shore needs to grind out of a rut. The win at DuBois helped, but Holidaysburg is a different kind of animal. HOLIDAYSBURG 30-17
Williamsport at Berwick
There was a time when I’d pick Berwick every single time, but this isn’t the same Bulldogs. WILLIAMSPORT 24-20
CMVT at New Hope Solebury
Got to include the Rams eventually. They’ll host Bucktail on Halloween afternoon. NEW HOPE SOLEBURY 49-7
