Almedia- Bruce Ransom’s return to the helm of Bucktail’s varsity program had plenty of bumps in 2026. Up until Saturday afternoon, their 20-13 upset of Coudersport remained their lone highlight and only victory of Ransom’s return season.

In a blink of an eye, that all changed against Columbia Montour Vo Tech.
Teagan Stone scored three times and compiled 162 yards of total offense, as the Bucks flipped the script and had a chance to feel what it was like to be on the right side of PIAA’s Mercy Rule by steamrolling the 4A Rams, 42-6.

Levi Stevenson reached the end zone on Bucktail’s first drive from 2 yards out. The two-point try failed, but the Bucks led 6-0.
CMVT pieced together a solid drive of their own on their first possession, but senior Aidan Ditty crushed Rams’ quarterback Jaxson Hartman forcing a fumble that Ditty recovered.

Bucktail quarterback Corbin Pentz orchestrated a 91-yard drive, which he capped pff with an 8-yard keeper and then found Stone for the try for two to extend the Bucks lead to 14-0.
The Bucks racked up 264 yards on the ground and their offense kept rolling. A Stone score from 44 yards out and a conversion to Stevenson from Pentz continued the onslaught.

The Bucks paced out a hurry up drive to close out the first half. The Bucks held a 22-0 lead when Pentz found Stone on another score with 20 seconds before the break. Their 38-yard hookup extended Bucktail’s lead to 28-0.
The second half brought more from the Cherry and White.
With 8:20 remaining in the third quarter, Pentz once again found his favorite target in Stone on 32-yard scoring strike and Stephen Heiser’s two-conversion officially put the mercy rule in motion at 36-0.

The Bucktail offensive assault had one more highlight. Senior Jaden Intallura, who entered the season as the Bucks’ workhorse in the backfield during both his sophomore and junior season was yet to have a single carry up until Bucktail’s finale.
Intallura broke loose on a 42-yard run and reached the end zone to extend the visiting Bucks’ lead to 42-0 entering the final quarter.

The Rams managed to get on the board when Hartman found Wyatt Bodnar open on a 65-yard scoring play with 8:11 left in the game.
With the road win, the Bucks close out Ransom’s return season with a 2-6 record.
